By the Book
Dunkelweizen
5.6% ABV.
A flavorful cross between a German-style dunkel and a hefeweizen, brewed with darker grains. Translating to “dark wheat” in German, this beer strikes a perfect balance with creamy wheat, rich maltiness, and notes of banana, clove, bread, toast, and caramel. With a smooth, medium-full body, it pairs well with roasted chicken, gouda, and banana cream pie.
This style dates back to 1516 in Bavaria, where the Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) allowed only water, barley, and hops in beer to keep wheat and rye available for bakers. Hence the name "By the Book."
Rule of Law
French Saison
6% ABV.
Traditional yeast forward, french farmhouse saison with a medium body and cloudy orange color. Notes of bubble gum and biscuit to start and a dry finish. East Kent Golding and Styrian Golden hops add hints of spice.
Rule of Law is the principle that no one is above the law and that everyone must follow the law.
Prop 65
West Coast IPA
6.7% ABV.
An orange, full bodied pour with an enduring foamy white head. A caramel maltiness balances the big west coast hop bitterness. The hops magnum, simco, columbus, centennial and cascade together exhibit big aromas of pineapple, citrus and pine.
The 1986 California Proposition 65, (previously known as The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, and also referred to as Prop 65) is a California law passed to protect drinking water from toxic substances that could cause cancer or birth defects and eliminate exposures to chemicals.
Banana vs Clove

Clouding the issue
