What’s On Tap
Our Line Up of Beers
Amicus Curiae
Kölsch
4.5% ABV.
Traditional easy drinking Kölsch with a light body, transparent orange color and malt forward flavor. Traditional noble hops (Saaz) add balance to round out this crispy treat.
Amicus Curiae means "Friend of the Court" in Latin.
Legal-Ease
Helles
4.4% ABV.
A traditional Bavarian Helles style lager. Super light bodied and straw yellow with notes of fresh baked bread and classic Hallertau Mittelfrüh noble hops.
A crushable light lager.
Solitary Confinement
Baltic Porter
6.9% ABV.
Medium bodied malt forward lager with notes of milk chocolate and coffee. Light noble hop presence.
Falsely Accused
Bavarian Bock
7.0% ABV.
Deep golden in color with a smooth medium body, this bock packs a punch. Malt is the star of the show here, both in flavor and aroma. A slight note of Hallertau hops and creamy white head to round it out.
Why the name? Being falsely accused means being wrongfully blamed for something you didn't do, with no evidence to support the claim. Like the Bavarian Bock style—often labeled as Hell, Maibock, or Lentebock—this beer challenges any misconceptions and celebrates the truth beneath the surface.
Civil code
Märzen Style Lager
5.7% ABV.
Pours a bright and transparent copper with a pleasant malty and slightly hoppy aroma. The taste is subtly grassy and bitter up front, then transitions nicely into a malty-caramel finish.
More about Civil Code and what it means to us:
Our abbreviation, BGB, is also the abbreviation of the German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch) established in 1900, so it seemed fitting to give tribute to these two epic events from German history.

Crolwers: Banging Gavel offer to go 32oz CROWLERS. – Not to be confused with glass screw top growlers, CROWLERS are sealed 32oz cans.
Why Crowlers? CROWLERS allow Banging Gavel to control the cleanliness and sanitation, while giving the beer a longer fridge life. Where a crowler can last 3-5 days in a refrigerator, a growler should be consumed within 25hrs of filling.
Banging Gavel strives for the best customer experience, whether they are enjoying our beer onsite or at home. Crowlers keep beer fresher longer.
